Option 1: Fictional Movie - Comedy, Drama, Horror, Suspense.... It's your choice!

Making a Movie: In the movie you are making, the whole group will be responsible for developing the story and the script. Your group can be up to 6 people. The movie should be at least 7 minutes long.
Roles in movie making: There a number of very specific roles taken on by people in order to get a movie made. The main roles associated with movie making are described below. As a group you will need to assign roles to members of your team. There may be a need for some people to take on several roles.
Director: Responsible for creating the vision of the film

Actor: Works in front of the camera
Editor: Responsible for editing all the individual shots into scenes and then making this into a cohesive story.

Assignment 5: Digital Story Slideshow
Digital Story
Objective
The purpose of this project is for students to create a multimedia presentation in the form of a digital story. A digital story is the result of a narrative that is written or recorded as audio and amplified with a sequence of images. This story should be compelling and meaningful and may also be personally relevant.
The slideshow is one of the dominant visual storytelling methods in use in media presentations. More and more, these slideshows are accompanied by audio, music, interviews, text as well as video. We will begin with the basics: still photos, accompanied by tightly written cutlines, that taken together to tell a story with integrity. Using video is optional if you find relative material
The Assignment.

Using Audiotool or a music creation software of you choice, your assignment is to produce a music track! Experiment with different samples and instruments to create a musical masterpiece. Aim for an audio track of at least 1 minute. The aim is practice making your own music for your own media projects. If you would like to create a slideshow to go with your music track it is optional.
